Timeless Charm: A Pavilion Crafted from Stone and Salvaged Wood

Located on an island in Washington, The Fieldhouse is a lovely family retreat with an angled, shed-style roof and a pretty big chimney. It was designed by architecture studio Hoedemaker Pfeiffer and it’s a very charming structure. Although it’s quite small, this doesn’t feel like a tiny or cluttered space. It’s a single-level structure with big windows and glass walls and it’s been built using locally-sourced stone and salvaged wood. This palette of materials  helps it blend into the local vernacular and also gives it a really cozy vibe.
